Blackjack - A word game

Description.

A simple gambling game. You place a bet and then get dealt two cards. Once you have two cards you may 'hit' to gain a new card, or 'stay' to keep your current total.

Once everyone has played then the dealer reveals their cards. If you have a higher total than the dealer without going over 21, then you get back your money. If the dealer has the same or higher than you then the dealer keeps your money.

The dealer follows a simple rule when turning over cards. They will reveal cards until they have a total of 17 or more then they will stop.

A blackjack always pays out for the player. A blackjack is any 10 value card and an ace. It also pays 3 to 2.

Cards are worth face value except Kings, Queens and Jacks which are worth 10. Aces can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on which one will make you go bust.

The blackjack table has several options which can change the chances of the dealer winning. One is the ability to change the number of decks in the pile. If there are more decks it makes number counting harder. The other is the ability for the dealer to hit on soft seventeens. This gives the dealer a slight advantage.
