Nickname

Description

Nicknames are used to refer to objects by a nickname. To use it, you just setup a nickname for any object by typing 'nickname haug pegl' or whatever. To use the nickname, just put the nickname in any command where you would normally put the object's entire name. 'dnickname' is used to delete a nickname. 'nickname' with no parameters will list all the nicknames you have currently defined.

Caution

Nicknames are quite often the cause for commandsand aliases to stop working the way they should. For instance, a 'nickname redjack red' will make it impossible to use any commands that require you to use a red candle. Always consider if a nickname could cause problems.

Deleting Nicknames

To delete nicknames, simply use dnickname or unnickname.

Syntax Forms

nickname 

Show your current nicknames.

nickname sorted 

Display your sorted nicknames.

nickname clear all nicknames 

Clear your current nicknames.

nickname <nickname> 

Print the nickname for a particular person.

nickname <realname> [as] <nickname> 

Set the nickname of a player.

nickname lists 

Display your nickname lists.

nickname lists <nickname> 

Display the specificed nickname list.

nickname lists add <list> to <nickname> 

Add a list to a specified nickname.

nickname lists remove <list> from <nickname> 

Remove a nickname from a particular list.
