Title

Description

The title command is the mechanism through which you can handle your pre titles, post-titles and post-nominal titles.

The command when used without any additional arguments will show the titles you have earned, what your current title is, and what player title you have (if any). It will also show any post-nominal titles that are appended to your name.

Pre-titles are those that come before your name, such as 'Doctor', 'Professor', or 'General'. Post-nominal titles appear only in your 'whois', but they are things like degree awards... B.Sc, M.A. and P.hD are examples of post nominal titles.

Player titles are appended to your who string after your name and post-nominals. You can set a player title once you meet the requirement indicated in 'benefits set a player title'.

Earning Titles

Titles are earned in several ways. Professions will tend to have a number of these awarded as you progress through the ranks. Factions will often award titles at higher levels of standing, and achievements of a certain level are likely to also give titles that you can set. You can have one player title and one pre-title available at any given time.

Syntax Forms

title 

Show your list of titles.

title quests 

Show your list of quest titles.

title <title> 

Set your pre-title to the indicated title.

title [set] quest title [to] <title> 

Set your quest title to the indicated title.

title quest title [to] none 

Set your quest title to the indicated title.

title none 

Remove your current pre-title.

title [set] player title [to] <title> 

Set your player title to the indicated string. Syntax only available if you are eligible.
